How is district heat produced?

1. Burning fuel

Mandal Golomt LLC's heat sources (HS-1–HS-4) use coal-fired hot-water boilers. The fuel comes mainly from the Maanit and Khuvbulag coal mines, owned by subsidiary Mandal Khuder.

2. Heating the water

Heat energy from the boilers heats the water in the district heating system. Electricity is purchased separately from the state-owned power grid operator "AUEHS".

3. Heat transmission

The heated water travels from the plant to customers through an insulated dual pipeline.

4. Distribution (heat-distribution points)

Heat-distribution points near each customer building transfer heat to the building's internal heating and hot-water systems.
